Michelle Obama: The Best of The Best !

Michelle Obama is honestly the best First Lady ever. Her style and grace is unparalleled and she is one of the most personable First Lady’s in American history. First Lady Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama is a lawyer, writer, and the wife of the 44th and current President, Barack Obama. She is the first African-American First Lady of the United States.

Through her four main initiatives, she has become a role model for women and an advocate for healthy families, service members and their families, higher education, and international adolescent girl’s education. The future First Lady studied sociology and African-American studies at Princeton University. After graduating from Harvard Law School in 1988, she joined the Chicago law firm Sidley & Austin, where she later met future husband Barack Obama.

First Lady Obama is one of only three First Lady’s with a graduate degree and the only First Lady to have a degree from two Ivy League schools, Princeton and Harvard Law. Her work ethic has proved her to be one of the most involved First Lady’s also. The one thing that I feel makes her so lovable is her relatability. She has definitely used her platform to showcase her personality and her amazing heart.

The initiatives she has started also show her humility and dedication to health and education. In 2010, she launched Let’s Move!, bringing together community leaders, educators, medical professionals, parents, and others in a nationwide effort to address the challenge of childhood obesity. In 2011, Mrs. Obama and Dr. Jill Biden came together to launch Joining Forces, a nationwide initiative calling all Americans to rally around service members, veterans, and their families and support them through wellness, education, and employment opportunities.

In 2014, Mrs. Obama launched the Reach Higher Initiative, an effort to inspire young people across America to take charge of their future by completing their education past high school, whether at a professional training program, a community college, or a four-year college or university. In 2015, Mrs. Obama joined President Obama to launch Let Girls Learn, a U.S. government-wide initiative to help girls around the world go to school and stay in school.

The general population loves our First Lady because she is one of us. She is genuinely compassionate and concerned about our well-being and we feel at ease under her assisted leadership. She will truly be missed and there will be no other First Lady like her.

  1. Having read this piece, I get a genuine sense of much of the work Former First Lady Michelle Obama has done. Going a bit deeper, her initiatives and project proposals not only focused on America’s youth and people, but also global unity, opening the scope of community and people and possibility together. Mrs. Obama’s vision was not limited or subjected to the small masses, but reached a larger audience in the hopes of changing the world and improving our bonds as we move forward into a promising future of uncertainty. And although uncertainty lingered, her projects advertised the hopes that were present in the silhouette shadows and remote horizons. A strong woman indeed!
